The NHS PTO is a group of passionate and enthusiastic parents and educators who are seeking to serve the NHS Community by promoting open and effective communication, creating opportunities for meaningful parent and teacher interaction, and enhancing a positive Bobcat culture through appreciation and collaboration between stakeholders.
Ways to Serve in the NHS PTO
This group has ways and opportunities to serve that go beyond just meetings! We are going to be hosting four committees that allow for you to serve in the way that you feel most called to!
Fundraising and Business Outreach
In this committee, you'll help us in our work to conduct and coordinate opportunities for raising money for the events, projects, and outreach the group plans to do. Additionally, you could help serve as a face for our group in the solicitation of partnerships and support from local businesses!
Teacher Appreciation
This committee's function is an opportunity to give back to the teachers of Northeastern High School in various ways. In this committee, you will brainstorm and execute ways to promote a culture of gratitude that extends from the community to the teachers and back again!
Communication
In this committee, you have the opportunity to serve in two major roles. On one hand, this committee will deal with up to date information and management of the profiles and media that we will use to help keep parents informed at the school. On the other, you will have the opportunity to help facilitate forums for discussion between the community and the school. This could come in the form of surveying for new initiatives, gathering information from parents for topics to discuss in our meetings, and helping to promote conversation between teachers and families!
Life as A Bobcat
This committee is designed to help parents and families with the everyday ins and outs of being a Bobcat here at the High School. With the help of our Student Senate, this committee will work to help families with the FAQs that High School families have, and provide multimedia explanations and help with the day to day of our student experience!
